Microsoft kündigt “Windows 8.1 with Bing” an

Mit “Windows 8.1 with Bing” will Microsoft den ersten Schritt wagen Bing als Default Suchmaschine näher zu bringen. Windows 8.1 with Bing wird keine Kaufversion werden, sondern wird nur vorinstalliert zu haben sein. Hintergrund sei es Endgeräte so billiger verkaufen zu können.

Laut Microsoft soll man aber dennoch die eigene Wunschsuchmaschine einstellen können.

Windows 8.1 with Bing provides all the same great experiences that Windows 8.1 offers with the Windows 8.1 Update, and comes with Bing as the default search engine within Internet Explorer. And of course customers will be able to change that setting through the Internet Explorer menu, providing them with control over search engine settings.

Ich denke mal es wird kaum Benutzer geben die beim Explorer eine andere Suchmaschine einstellen, eher wird der gesamte Browser ausgetauscht. Oder sehe ich das falsch?
